First glimpse of Angelina Jolie in Anxious People.

      Filming has commenced in London, and Black Bear has released a first-look image of Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie in *Anxious People*, the adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s New York Times bestselling novel directed by Marc Forster (known for *Monster’s Ball* and *Christopher Robin*).

      In *Anxious People*, the day before Christmas Eve, investment banker Zara reluctantly finds herself interacting with a group of strangers at an open house. When a hesitant bank robber, Grace, unwittingly takes the group hostage, chaos erupts, personal revelations occur, and nothing proceeds as intended. This touching and charming film tells the story of a crime that never happened, a would-be bank robber who vanishes, and eight extremely anxious individuals who discover they share more similarities than they realized. Through its cleverly crafted narrative, *Anxious People* examines the lasting impact of friendship, forgiveness, and hope—the elements that support us during the most stressful times.

      *Anxious People* marks the reunion of Forster with screenwriter David Magee (of *Life of Pi*), following their work together on *A Man Called Oto* (itself an adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s *A Man Called Ove*). Jolie stars alongside Jason Segel (*How I Met Your Mother*) and Aimee Lou Wood (*The White Lotus*). The film is set for release in 2026.
