Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley participate in the Scrubs reunion.

ABC's revival of Scrubs is bringing the team back together, with Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley being the latest confirmed cast members for the reboot of the beloved medical comedy.

Reyes will return as Carla Espinosa, while McGinley will reprise his role as Dr. Perry Cox, both appearing as recurring guest stars in the new series. They join previously announced cast members Zach Braff (J.D.), Donald Faison (Turk), and Sarah Chalke (Elliot) in this revival, which has been given a straight-to-series order by ABC.

The logline for the new iteration of Scrubs states: “JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) return to scrubbing in together after a long time; while medicine and interns have evolved, their enduring bromance remains unchanged. Both new and familiar characters will navigate the challenges at Sacred Heart with humor, heartfelt moments, and some unexpected surprises along the journey.”

Original creator Bill Lawrence will act as executive producer for the new series, along with Braff, Faison, and Chalke, while Scrubs alumni Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra will serve as showrunners.

About Gary Collinson: Gary Collinson is a writer and producer involved in film, TV, and digital content. He is the founder of the pop culture site Flickering Myth and has produced the gothic horror movie 'The Baby in the Basket' as well as the upcoming thriller 'Death Among the Pines'.
