Dune: Awakening releases Chapter 2 update along with the Lost Harvest DLC.

      Funcom’s Dune: Awakening has launched its inaugural major content update, which is free and extends the player's experience beyond Act 3. Additionally, the new Lost Harvest DLC has been released, offering a fresh standalone narrative for players. There's also an announcement for a free play weekend and a 20% discount. You can view new trailers below showcasing both of these additions to the Arrakis universe.

      The Chapter 2 free update continues the narrative after Act 3, allowing players to explore the ancient past as they investigate a string of horrific murders. Players will have the chance to discover brand-new locations and interact with both new and familiar characters.

      This update introduces a variety of exciting new world content, including contracts, dynamic encounters, items, activities, and more. There is also a new re-customization feature, enabling players to modify their existing characters with various new character creation options, such as hairstyles and tattoos.

      The Lost Harvest DLC offers players a new standalone storyline that revolves around the discovery of a wrecked Miner’s Guild spice harvester. Players are tasked with uncovering the potentially groundbreaking secret cargo that it carried.

      This new DLC also features several new cosmetic items, including the first cosmetic vehicle in the game, the Treadwheel, which provides an alternative appearance for the Sandbike. Players can utilize the new Dune Man building set, enhance their location with fresh decorations, cosmetic armor sets, weapon skins, and much more. All cosmetics (including the vehicle) must still be crafted like any other item in the game and do not provide any gameplay advantages.

      From September 11th to 15th, all players can experience the deserts of Arrakis during the Dune: Awakening Free Weekend. Throughout this period, players can enjoy everything the game offers, including the new Chapter 2 content, with all character progress saved for those who decide to purchase the game. This purchase also allows them to benefit from the 20% discount available on Steam and third-party stores from September 11th to 22nd.

      Dune: Awakening Chapter 2 is now available for free, while the Lost Harvest DLC can be purchased or accessed as part of the Season Pass.
