Apex Legends: Showdown scheduled for the mid-season update.
Respawn Entertainment has announced new features coming to Apex Legends: Showdown with the upcoming mid-season update and the Wild Iron event. This event will take place from September 16 to October 14 and will introduce a new weapon, an abundance of loot, and additional surprises. Check out the trailer for the Wild Iron event below…
The mid-season update will allow players to obtain the new Mythic Flatline from Rampart Care Packages. This weapon, a collaboration between Rampart and explosives expert Fuse, boasts devastating power with its two abilities: the first ability allows every fifth bullet fired to deal double damage and create an AOE blast, while the second ability places a bomb on downed enemies. Although a squadmate can disarm the bomb, they’ll be preoccupied with their teammate, leaving them unable to shoot at you.
Eight new Wildcards will also be introduced, which can be crafted at Replicators. The new Wildcards are:
- Good Doctor: Revives teammates with extra health and shields.
- Extra Ordnance: Allows the player to carry an additional piece of ordnance.
- Gren-Aid: Marks enemies who have taken damage from an explosive.
- Sent Packing: Increases the knockback effect of frag grenades.
- Shield’s Up: Provides an Epic level shield.
- Stowed Reload: Automatically reloads a stowed weapon after a few seconds.
- Crackerjack: Instantly reloads the weapon upon knocking an enemy.
- Down Bad: Causes enemies to explode when they are knocked.
Moreover, there are updates for Legends, with Mad Maggie receiving improvements to her Level 2 upgrades for greater reliability. Her new Gunrunning upgrade enhances her options for close-range weapons. Additionally, her Fire Ball ability now creates magma patches on the ground, and she takes 50% less fire damage from all sources. Seer also sees a boost with enhancements to his Tactical Focus of Attention and Ultimate Exhibit.
