Ricky Gervais collaborates once again with Netflix for the adult animated series Alley Cats.

      Ricky Gervais is set to reunite with Netflix following the success of After Life, this time for an adult animated comedy series titled Alley Cats. Characterized as “a slacker sitcom,” this animated series will depict the challenges faced by a group of feral British cats as they navigate their search for companionship while reflecting on the hardships of everyday life.

      Gervais will not only create and direct the series but will also lead a voice cast that features Tom Basden, Andrew Brooke, David Earl, Kerry Godliman, Jo Hartley, Diane Morgan, Natalie Cassidy, and Tony Way. Gervais remarks, “I portray a fat, lazy, rude, opinionated creature with fangs, who isn’t as clever or courageous as he believes himself to be. So it’s quite a stretch.” Alley Cats is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
