The fog has lifted on a new poster for Christophe Gans' Return to Silent Hill.
Featuring War Horse actor Jeremy Irvine in the lead role, this third installment is inspired by the critically acclaimed Konami video game Silent Hill 2, which narrates the sorrowful tale of James, a widower who returns to the eerie town after receiving a cryptic letter suggesting that his wife Mary (Hannah Emily Anderson) might still be alive somewhere within the nightmare of Silent Hill.
Gans returns as director after his original film in 2006, which held its popularity until the recent surge of successful video game adaptations. Check out the latest poster below…
Return to Silent Hill centers on James (Jeremy Irvine), a man shattered after being apart from his true love. When a mysterious letter beckons him back to Silent Hill in search of her, he discovers a once-familiar town changed by an unknown malevolence. As James plunges deeper into the darkness, he encounters terrifying figures, both known and new, and begins to doubt his own sanity while trying to comprehend reality and hold on long enough to rescue his lost love.
