New trailer released for "Ballad of a Small Player," featuring Colin Farrell.

      Netflix has unveiled a new trailer, poster, and images for Edward Berger’s psychological thriller, Ballad of a Small Player, ahead of its release later this month.

      Based on Lawrence Osborne’s novel of the same name, the film centers on Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell), a man attempting to escape his rapidly accumulating debts as he spends his time drinking and gambling in the casinos of Macau. He receives a lifeline from a mysterious employee (Fala Chen) who has her own hidden secrets. Watch the trailer below…

      

      Lord Doyle (Colin Farrell) is keeping a low profile in Macau, spending his days and nights on the casino floors, heavily drinking and wagering the little money he has left. As he struggles to manage his escalating debts, he encounters the enigmatic Dao Ming (Fala Chen), a casino worker with her own undisclosed truths.

      Meanwhile, hot on his trail is Cynthia Blithe (Tilda Swinton), a private investigator ready to confront Doyle about what he is trying to evade. As Doyle seeks a way to salvation, the boundaries of reality begin to tighten around him.

      Ballad of a Small Player is set for a theatrical release on October 17th, followed by its debut on Netflix on October 29th.
