Once again directed by award-winning Jon M. Chu, the final chapter of the untold story of the witches of Oz features a spectacular returning cast, led by Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. The story begins with Elphaba and Glinda separated, grappling with the ramifications of their decisions.
Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now vilified as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in hiding within the Ozian forest while continuing her pursuit for the freedom of Oz's voiceless Animals and striving to unveil the truth she possesses about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).
Meanwhile, Glinda has risen to become the glamorous embodiment of Goodness throughout Oz, residing in the palace in the Emerald City and savoring the benefits of fame and popularity. Under Madame Morrible's (Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh) guidance, Glinda is tasked with presenting an uplifting image to Oz, reassuring the populace that everything is fine under The Wizard’s rule.
As Glinda’s fame grows and she prepares for a lavish Ozian wedding with Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey), she is troubled by her estrangement from Elphaba. While trying to mediate peace between Elphaba and The Wizard, her efforts fail, further widening the rift between them. The fallout will have lasting effects on Boq (Tony nominee Ethan Slater) and Fiyero, and also endanger Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode), when a girl from Kansas disrupts their lives.
With an angry mob turning against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba must join forces one final time. With their unique friendship at the core of their destinies, they must truly understand each other with honesty and compassion if they hope to transform themselves and all of Oz for the better.
Wicked: For Good stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, and Sharon D. Clarke. The film will be released in cinemas worldwide on November 21, 2025.
