Bradley Cooper is set to star alongside Margot Robbie in the prequel to Ocean's 11.
After being inactive for a few years since the last update, Warner Bros. is finally progressing with the Ocean’s 11 prequel featuring Margot Robbie. The film will be directed by Lee Isaac Chung from Twisters, with Bradley Cooper (Maestro) co-starring alongside Robbie.
The prequel has been in development for several years, initially with Robbie set to star with Ryan Gosling; however, Robbie's co-star from Barbie appears to have exited the project for unknown reasons. The specific roles of Robbie and Cooper, as well as the storyline and precise time period, remain undisclosed.
Ocean’s 11 portrays a band of con artists and thieves orchestrating an elaborate heist targeting multiple Las Vegas casinos. The original film debuted in 1960 and featured the Rat Pack: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, and Angie Dickinson. A remake was released in 2001 starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts, which led to two sequels and the spin-off Ocean’s 8 with Sandra Bullock.
The Ocean’s 11 prequel has been penned by Carrie Solomon (A Family Affair) and will be produced by Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment. Filming is set to commence next year.
