Sony has released a new poster for Anaconda, the forthcoming comedic meta-reboot of the action-adventure horror series.

Directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), the film features Paul Rudd and Jack Black as two friends who set out on a journey deep into the Amazon rainforest to remake their favorite childhood movie – the 1997’s Anaconda starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube.

Joining Rudd and Black on their quest are Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, Selton Mello, Ione Skye, and Ben Lawson. You can view the new poster here…

Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since childhood, always dreaming of remaking their ultimate favorite film: the “classic” Anaconda. When a midlife crisis prompts them to take the plunge, they venture deep into the Amazon to start filming. However, their project takes a turn when a real giant anaconda shows up, transforming their amusingly chaotic movie set into a perilous situation. The film they are determined to create? It could very well cost them their lives.

Anaconda is scheduled for release in the US on December 25th and in the UK on December 26th.
