Comic Book Sneak Peek – Return to Sleepy Hollow #1

Next week marks the debut of Return to Sleepy Hollow, a comic book continuation of Tim Burton’s 1999 film Sleepy Hollow from IDW Dark, and you can preview the first issue below with the official preview…

Written by Eisner Award–winning author Casey Gilly (Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer, “A Funeral in Foam”), this story delves into concealed truths, decaying corpses, and putrid deities. The Headless Horseman hasn’t haunted Sleepy Hollow for 15 years; however, the sleepy valley's residents are unaware that a more sinister force hides within the town's foundations, ready to satisfy its thirst for blood.

Ichabod Crane, a man of reason, has made a name for himself debunking claims of the supernatural around the globe, despite his undeniable encounter with the otherworldly. When a desperate letter arrives urging him to return to Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod finds himself needing to reconnect with his estranged love, Katrina Van Tassel, to resolve a series of bizarre and inexplicable murders. Together, they will unveil the truth behind Sleepy Hollow’s beginnings and the ties that bind them all.

Return to Sleepy Hollow #1 will be available on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025.

Ford continues to offer the Taurus in the Middle East, with the updated sedan featuring sharper styling that is likely inspired by the Chinese Mondeo.

Ford is teasing the facelifted Taurus ahead of its global launch in 2026. The sedan now includes Mustang-inspired headlights and a larger front grille, alongside a refreshed interior that incorporates new materials and layout adjustments.

Although Ford's North American lineup hasn't included a sedan since the last Taurus left the Chicago production line in 2019, the nameplate is still alive. While Ford is phasing out sedans in the U.S., the global market seems to have missed the announcement.

After launching the Mondeo for the Chinese market in 2022, Ford rebranded this mid-size sedan as the new Taurus for the Middle East, where it is now nearing a mid-cycle update.

What’s New?

The 2026 Taurus has been previewed through two official teasers that indicate a significant visual refresh. It will feature a new set of headlights designed with a cleaner look and highlighted by modern LED graphics, making it resemble a four-door Mustang more closely.

The new lighting units are positioned beside a wider grille that connects to a sportier lower bumper intake. While the side profile is still under wraps, any updates are likely to be limited to new wheel designs and additional color options.

At the rear, a redesigned tail section showcases more prominent LED taillights and an updated bumper with black trim and a body-colored diffuser.

The tailgate badge indicates that this version is the upscale Titanium trim, rather than the sportier ST-Line currently available in China, which has yet to arrive in Middle Eastern dealerships.

What’s New Inside?

The refresh is also expected to include changes in the cabin, featuring a reworked center console layout and new trim options. The existing model already comes with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen, so the updates will likely focus on enhancing materials and layout rather than major hardware changes.

Powertrain options are anticipated to carry over from the current model. The 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine produces 239 horsepower, while the hybrid 1.5-liter variant combines an engine and electric motor for a total of 185 horsepower, with 64 horsepower coming from the electric motor alone.

Both variants deliver power to the front wheels, although they use different transmissions: the gasoline model features an eight-speed automatic, while the hybrid uses a CVT.

More details about the facelifted Taurus are expected to be revealed as its launch in Middle Eastern markets approaches next year. It is also likely that the Chinese Ford Mondeo will receive similar updates soon, indicating a coordinated evolution across Ford's global sedan lineup.
