The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping reveals its first trailer.

      A year after its announcement, Lionsgate has released the first teaser trailer, poster, and promotional images for The Hunger Games: Sunrise of the Reaping, the cinematic adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ popular novel. The film features Joseph Zada (We Were Liars) as a young Haymitch Abernathy, a role originally played by Woody Harrelson in the earlier films.

      Directed once more by Hunger Games veteran Francis Lawrence, the film includes performances from Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. You can watch the trailer below.

      THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING revisits the Panem universe and follows a young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) twenty-four years prior to the events of The Hunger Games, beginning on the morning of the reaping for the Fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.

      The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to premiere on November 20th, 2026.
