      Sony Pictures has unveiled a trailer for The Best You Can, an upcoming romantic comedy from writer-director Michael J. Weithorn, featuring real-life married couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

      Bacon plays Stan, a security guard who is not living up to his potential and meets the uptight urologist Cynthia (Sedgwick) while preventing a robbery at her elegant home. This encounter leads to an unusual friendship that ultimately blossoms into an unexpected romantic connection. Watch the trailer below…

      Cynthia Rand (Kyra Sedgwick), a tightly wound urologist from New York City married to the much older Watergate prosecutor, Warren Rand (Judd Hirsch), sees her orderly life disrupted as he begins to suffer from dementia. Meanwhile, Stan Olszewski (Kevin Bacon), a bright yet perpetually underachieving security guard, navigates life aimlessly, with his present goal being to reconnect with his estranged daughter, Sammi (Brittany O’Grady), who is in her twenties. Their lives intersect when Stan stops a robbery at Cynthia’s elegant Brooklyn residence. What starts as a random meeting quickly develops into a unique yet profound friendship, characterized by late-night messages, honest revelations, and irreverent humor. As their connection deepens, their relationship transforms into an unexpected romantic involvement, upending their lives and prompting them to rethink their desires and what they may be lacking.
