Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy has released a trailer and announced its UK release.

      A trailer has been released online for the UK debut of the action fantasy film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy, which is based on Sing Shong’s popular web novel Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.

      Directed by Kim Byung-woo, the film follows Kim Dokja (Ahn Hyo-seop), the only reader of a little-known web novel, who expresses his frustration to the author about the story's disappointing conclusion. When the hero of the story, Yu Jung-hyeok (Lee Min-ho), materializes in front of him, Kim realizes that the narrative has become real, prompting him to act in order to alter its ending before the world faces destruction.

      The cast features Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, Kwon Eun-seong, and Jisoo; you can view the trailer below.

      Kim Dokja (Ahn Hyo-seop), a typical man in his 20s, is the sole reader of an obscure web novel named “Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse”. After a decade of serialization, the novel’s conclusion is finally revealed, and Kim is dissatisfied with how the story ends, particularly with the hero, Yu Junghyeok’s solitary survival. In his frustration, he pens an angry letter to the author, dubbing it “the worst novel”.

      Following the letter’s dispatch, the apocalyptic scenario from the novel abruptly transitions into reality, and the all-powerful hero Yu Jung-hyeok (Lee Min-ho) appears before Kim. As the only individual aware of how to navigate this new world, Kim, along with his companions, helps Yu Jung-hyeok and endeavors to save the world by creating a new ending of his own.

      Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy will be available digitally on December 15th.
