Destiny 2’s Star Wars-themed expansion, Renegades, debuts with a cinematic trailer.

Bungie has revealed the release of Renegades, the second expansion in the Year of Prophecy for Destiny 2. This expansion, inspired by Star Wars and developed in conjunction with Lucasfilm Games, merges Destiny 2’s combat and narrative with elements from one of the most cherished sci-fi franchises. Check out the latest trailer below…

In Renegades, Guardians will embark on a journey as part of an underdog crew that rises to confront the formidable Barant Imperium, who are believed to have connections to the Nine. Players will build alliances with both new and familiar characters while increasing their influence and power in the underworld through a new social hub – the Tharsis Outpost on Mars.

Players can engage in various high-risk, high-reward activities, such as Smuggling, Bounty Hunts, and Sabotage, across six new maps located on Venus, Europa, and Mars, all inspired by iconic Star Wars settings.

There are three distinct factions with which players can develop their reputation, and throughout the campaign, different Renegade Abilities can be unlocked and enhanced. Additionally, there is a new array of weapons and equipment, including the Star Wars-inspired Praxic Blade resembling a Lightsabre, the Praxic Vestment Titan Chest, and a new weapon class, Blasters.

On December 13th, the new dungeon, Equilibrium, will be accessible for players who own Destiny 2: Renegades. In this dungeon, players will collaborate with Praxic Order Warlock Aunor Mahal to infiltrate a Barant Imperium warship and track down acolytes of Dredgen Bael.

Destiny 2: Renegades is now available.
