With only a week remaining before Anaconda makes its debut in theaters, Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for the meta reboot. Directed by Tom Gormican, this action comedy follows best friends Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) as they deal with a midlife crisis that drives them to pursue their dream of remaking the 1997 adventure horror film Anaconda. They journey deep into the Amazon to shoot their film, where their hilariously chaotic production takes a deadly turn.
The cast also includes Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, Selton Mello, Ione Skye, and Ben Lawson. You can watch the trailer below…
Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been inseparable friends since childhood and have always wished to remake their all-time favorite film: the legendary Anaconda. When a midlife crisis urges them to take the plunge, they venture deep into the Amazon to begin filming. However, things take a serious turn when a real giant anaconda surfaces, transforming their chaotic movie set into a perilous situation. The film they are eager to create? It might just lead to their demise.
Anaconda is set to release on December 25th in the United States and on December 26th in the United Kingdom.
