Percy Jackson and the Olympians has identified its villains and Annabeth's father for the third season.

      With the second season of Percy Jackson & The Olympians currently being broadcast, the third season has cast key roles that will influence the destiny of Olympus and the world. According to Deadline, Holy McCallany (The Waterfront) and David Costabile (Breaking Bad) are set to play the villains for the season, while Jesse L. Martin (The Flash) will take on the role of Annabeth’s mortal father.

      The upcoming season will adapt the third Percy Jackson novel by Rick Riordan, The Titan’s Curse, where Percy and his friends confront the ancient Titan god Atlas. McCallany will portray Atlas, “the legendary Titan, also referred to as the Bearer of Heaven, who was condemned by Zeus to support the celestial heavens following the last Titan war against the Olympians. Recently freed from his burden, Atlas is now determined to lead Kronos' armies in a quest for revenge.”

      Costabile will be playing Dr. Thorn, “a firm military academy headmaster who demands discipline from his students,” though he is much more than he appears and plays a crucial role in Atlas’ schemes.

      Martin has a guest role as Frederick Chase, Annabeth’s mortal father, who is somewhat distant from her. He is described as “a sometimes forgetful yet genuinely brilliant military historian deemed worthy by Athena to parent her daughter. Despite their complicated relationship, he loves Annabeth, and they are working toward reconnecting.”

      Joining the newcomers for the third season are Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie as demigods Nico and Bianca di Angelo, whom Percy must protect, Dafne Keen as the goddess Artemis, Saara Chaudry as Artemis’ loyal lieutenant Zoë Nightshade, and Kate McKinnon as the goddess Aphrodite.

      Production for the third season of Percy Jackson & The Olympians is currently underway in Vancouver.

      Returning to Camp Half-Blood a year later, Percy Jackson discovers his world has completely changed. His friendship with Annabeth is evolving, he learns he has a cyclops brother, Grover has disappeared, and the camp is under attack from Kronos' forces. Percy’s quest to restore order will lead him off the map and into the perilous Sea of Monsters, where a hidden fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

      Percy Jackson and the Olympians features Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman as Chiron, and Toby Stephens as Poseidon. Season two will also welcome Daniel Diemer, Timothy Simons, Tamara Smart, Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho, and Andra Day, with Courtney B. Vance stepping into the role of Zeus following Lance Reddick’s passing.
