New to Streaming: Sentimental Value, Cover-Up, Where to Land, Die My Love, and Additional Titles

Every week, we showcase the notable titles that have recently arrived on streaming platforms in the United States. Check out this week’s picks below and previous compilations here.

**100 Nights of Hero (Julia Jackman)**

Arabian Nights, a vast anthology of Islamic folklore, holds as much sway over modern literature and pop culture as Shakespeare’s works—it's an extensive text that has shaped narrative innovation well beyond the fantasy realm. However, instead of exploring multiple tales within One Thousand and One Nights, we have a singular narrative stretched over a hundred, presented in a performance by the seemingly miscast Charli XCX amidst a poorly crafted royal love triangle reminiscent of an amateur’s Wattpad story. Adapted from Isabel Greenberg's 2016 graphic novel of the same name, writer-director Julia Jackman’s vision feels more like a derivative post-Bridgerton romance that clumsily channels its own clichés rather than a bold reinterpretation of a literary classic, with a feminist agenda so overt it risks patronizing the viewers. – Alistair R.       **Bugonia (Yorgos Lanthimos)**

After exploring dystopian fantasy (The Lobster) and period comedy (The Favourite), Yorgos Lanthimos continues to surprise with his boundless creativity through original projects (Dogtooth) and whimsical adaptations (Poor Things). In remaking the underappreciated Korean sci-fi comedy thriller Save the Green Planet!, he pays homage to the original while infusing his distinct flair, resulting in a polished (though somewhat diluted) iteration of an utterly bizarre film. – Zhuo-Ning Su (full review)

      **Cover-Up (Laura Poitras, Mark Obenhaus)**

Three years after the Venice Film Festival honored Laura Poitras's documentary on artist and activist Nan Goldin, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, another film by the Oscar-winning director debuts at the Lido. Cover-Up, co-directed with Mark Obenhaus, focuses on the legendary journalist Seymour (Sy) Hersh and his career from the 1960s to today. A title card reveals that Poitras first reached out to Hersh nearly two decades ago, and after collaborating with Obenhaus on various documentaries, he finally agreed to participate in the project that has now become Cover-Up. – Savina P.       **Die My Love (Lynne Ramsay)**

In a pivotal moment of Lynne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here, two assassins––one stylish but on the verge of death, the other disheveled yet undeniably alive––lie together on a kitchen floor, their hands lightly touching as Charlene’s “Never Been to Me” filters in from a nearby radio, the lyrics barely whispering from the wounded man's lips. This moment of contrast transformed what was a skillfully executed revenge narrative into something almost transcendent. Ramsay attempts a similar emotional impact in her eagerly awaited follow-up, Die My Love, which depicts a woman experiencing a mental collapse. As always, Ramsay's choice of soundtrack is a delightful mix of fun and unpredictability, featuring David Bowie’s “Kooks” on a car radio and the director herself singing an acoustic version of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” over the credits––a fitting selection for a film exploring toxic love and the ramifications for our loved ones, amidst little joy in the parting. – Rory O.       **Eden (Ron Howard)**

On paper, Ron Howard seems an unlikely fit for a project like Eden. This dark tale recounts the lives of real individuals in the late 1920s, so disenchanted with humanity that fleeing to the Galápagos Islands appeared to them the only rational escape. The narrative is filled with deceit, murder, dental extractions, and one of cinema’s more absurd childbirth scenes, along with what might be Ron Howard's first instance of male frontal nudity. (Although my recollection of Cocoon is somewhat hazy.) – Christopher S. (full review)

      **Eternity (David Freyne)**

How do you envision spending eternity? This is the central question explored in David Freyne’s Eternity, a high-concept romantic comedy (co-written with Patrick Cunnane) that imagines the afterlife as an endless theme park getaway. Instead of approaching the pearly gates or falling into hell's depths, the recently departed arrive at a vast purgatorial train station to decide their next residence. The options are vast—beach resorts to mountain cabins, and unique realms like “Smoker’s World” or “Man-Free World”—each spirit is assigned an Afterlife Coordinator to assist them in making a decision. Picture the afterlife as a
