      Fox has released a trailer for the upcoming thriller series, Memory of a Killer. Rooted in the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer, the series features Patrick Dempsey in the role of Angelo Ledda, a man whose carefully constructed separation between his mundane life as a salesman and family man in upstate New York and his dangerous career as a hitman in New York City begins to unravel after he is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s.       For anyone, losing one’s memory is a devastating blow, but for Angelo Ledda, the risks are even greater. His job as a hitman is already fraught with danger, but he faces additional pressure: Angelo leads two entirely distinct lives — a feared NYC hitman and a quiet photocopier salesman and father in Cooperstown. Having successfully kept these two worlds apart for years, Angelo has skillfully managed to juggle them. However, everything is about to change, as Alzheimer’s is a challenge he cannot evade, and he is all too aware of how it can end, having seen his older brother succumb to the disease.

      Angelo is incredibly capable and adept, considered among the elite in his field. But he is about to face an unprecedented test — and now time is of the essence. The situation becomes even more complicated when he learns that his wife’s recent death might not have been accidental. When threats emerge against his pregnant daughter, it becomes obvious that the divide between his lives has been compromised. Angelo must track down whoever is targeting his family, sifting through his past assignments for leads, which is a daunting task. He has to find his arch-nemesis while continuing to execute hits without revealing his condition, all while trying to return home in time to prepare dinner for his daughter. Memory of a Killer tells the redemptive story of a man who is losing his memory but gaining a sense of morality, as Angelo realizes he must prevent history from repeating itself and protect his family — before he forgets his own past.

      Memory of a Killer is set to premiere on Fox on January 25th.
