Trailer for The Death of Robin Hood: Hugh Jackman Pursues Redemption
Following his remarkable directorial debut with Pig, Michael Sarnoski ventured into the realm of franchise filmmaking with A Quiet Place: Day One, and now he's set to return this year with a fresh interpretation of Robin Hood. Featuring Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett, and Noah Jupe, The Death of Robin Hood portrays the outlaw in search of redemption. As it approaches its release this year from A24, the first trailer has just been unveiled.
Here’s the synopsis: "Haunted by his past of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself severely wounded after a battle he believed would be his final one. In the care of a mysterious woman, he is offered an opportunity for redemption."
"He was this violent outlaw who committed many awful acts and had a monstrous side," the director shared with EW. "However, he's lived long enough to witness the folklore that has developed around him. He’s coming to terms with how he feels about being depicted as a hero, despite knowing the reality of who he really was."
