Cliff Secord is back in the new series The Rocketeer: Infiltrator!

      The late Dave Stevens’ pulp icon Cliff Secord makes a comeback this July as IDW Publishing introduces The Rocketeer: Infiltrator!, a new series by writer Gabriel Hardman (Batman/Green Arrow/The Question: Arcadia) and artist Dean Kotz (The Savage Sword of Conan). This upcoming storyline will feature the Flying Man teaming up with Betty on an undercover mission to investigate suspicions of a new Nazi superweapon.

      “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to add to Dave Stevens’ The Rocketeer legacy,” Hardman expressed. “My first encounter with both the character and Stevens’ incredibly rich artwork was when I found The Rocketeer Adventure Magazine from Comico at a comic shop during my teenage years. It aligned perfectly with my passion for pulpy tales from the 1930s and 1940s, so being able to create a story in that universe feels just right for me. We’re introducing a twist of wartime espionage as Cliff and Betty apply their distinctive talents to uncover a Nazi superweapon, using Betty’s acting career as a front. Although they may not be seasoned spies, they’ll receive support from a charming MI6 agent who, unfortunately for Cliff, becomes romantically interested in Betty. I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with artist Dean Kotz on this series. I’ve admired his art for years, and this project perfectly suits his style and is an ideal narrative for our collaboration.”
