New trailer released for The Sheep Detectives featuring Hugh Jackman.

      Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled a new trailer and poster for the forthcoming mystery comedy The Sheep Detectives, directed by Kyle Balda, which is based on Leonie Swann’s novel Three Bags Full.

      When a shepherd who enjoys reading detective novels to his sheep in the evenings turns up dead, his cherished flock bands together to become detectives, eager to crack the case themselves.

      The film features a star-studded cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, and Rhys Darby.

      In this clever new take on the mystery genre, George (Hugh Jackman), a shepherd who assumes his sheep are incapable of understanding the detective stories he reads to them each night, finds his life disrupted by a mysterious event on the farm. The sheep soon realize they must step up and act as detectives. As they follow clues and investigate human suspects, they demonstrate that even sheep can be exceptional crime-solvers.

      The Sheep Detectives is set to be released in theaters on May 8th.
