DreamWorks Animation has released a trailer for Forgotten Island.

      DreamWorks has released a poster and trailer for Forgotten Island, an animated adventure directed and written by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish).

      The story centers on high school graduates and best friends Jo and Raissa, who enjoy one last night together before heading off on different life paths. While celebrating, they accidentally find a portal that transports them to a magical island, where they learn that returning home comes with a price.

      Forgotten Island features voice performances from H.E.R., Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, Ronny Chieng, and Lea Salonga.

      During their farewell celebration, Jo and Raissa come across a mysterious portal that leads them to the enchanting island of Nakali, filled with magical and mythical beings they grew up hearing about from their Filipino heritage.

      Some of these characters become allies while others turn out to be adversaries. Accompanied by the well-meaning yet clumsy weredog Raww (voiced by Dave Franco) and a small yet spirited group of friends, Jo and Raissa must confront The Dreaded Manananggal (portrayed by Tony-winning actress Lea Salonga), the most feared entity on the island. As they realize that the memories of their entire friendship are the cost of returning home, Jo and Raissa must race against time to find a way to escape the island before they forget each other completely.

      Forgotten Island is set to hit theaters on September 25th.
