A new audio adventure from Torchwood is now available from Big Finish.
The 99th and second-to-last installment of the regular Torchwood audio adventures is now released by Big Finish Productions. Titled Torchwood: Curtain and written by James Goss based on a story by David Llewellyn, it narrates the experiences of three actors and a mysterious figure that has shadowed Torchwood for a significant part of its history.
In this new Torchwood adventure, three actors are summoned back to a theater where they previously shared a particularly frightful incident. The cast—down-and-out Dermot Lacey, former star Mathilde Balfour, and successful Roger Cartney—arrives to find themselves haunted by an enigmatic figure who identifies himself as Bilis Manger.
What connection does this individual have to the Bilis that Torchwood has met in the past? Is he the same Bilis? Is he an angel, a demon, or something more malevolent? Torchwood seeks to uncover the truth.
This new episode features Cyril Nri as Dermot, Sarah Douglas as Balfour, Robert Bathurst as Cartney, and Colin Ryan as Bilis Manger.
Following the sad passing of Murray Melvin, who portrayed Bilis in the Torchwood television series and various audio dramas, this story has been revised as a tribute to both the cherished actor and the well-liked Torchwood character.
Torchwood: Curtain is now available for purchase from Big Finish as a download for £8.99 or as a limited collector’s edition CD for £13.99. Bundles are also offered.
