Avatar: The Last Airbender unveils a new poster for season 2 along with a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Netflix has unveiled a new poster for the second season of its live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, accompanied by a featurette that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the fantasy action-adventure series.
In Season 2, returning cast members include Gordon Cormier (Aang), Kiawentiio (Katara), Ian Ousley (Sokka), Dallas Liu (Zuko), Elizabeth Yu (Azula), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Iroh), Daniel Dae Kim (Fire Lord Ozai), Momona Tamada (Ty Lee), and Thalia Tran (Mai). The season also introduces new characters played by Miya Cech as Toph, Chin Han (Mortal Kombat) as Long Feng, Hoa Xuande (The Sympathizer) as Professor Zei, Justin Chien (The Brothers Sun) as King Kuei, Amanda Zhou (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Joo Dee, Crystal Yu (Doctor Who) as Lady Beifong, Kelemete Misipeka (Sons of Thunder) as The Boulder, Lourdes Faberes (The Sandman) as General Sung, Rekha Sharma (Yellowjackets) as Amita, Terry Chen (Lucky Star) as Jeong Jeong, Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness) as Lo and Li, Lily Gao (Twisted Metal) as Ursa, Madison Hu (The Boogeyman) as Fei, and Dichen Lachman (Severance) as Yangchen.
Following a bittersweet triumph in saving the Northern Water Tribe from the attacking Fire Nation, Avatar Aang (Gordon Cormier), along with Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley), regroups to embark on a quest to persuade the elusive Earth King to join them in their fight against the formidable Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).
Their perilous journey to the impregnable city of Ba Sing Se, where the Earth King resides, proves to be both dangerous and rewarding as Aang meets Toph (Miyako), a bold young master of earthbending, and persuades her to assist him in adding earthbending to his existing airbending and waterbending skills.
Season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender premieres on Netflix on June 25th.
