Insidious: Out of the Further reveals its first trailer and poster.

      Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further, the sixth installment in the supernatural horror series, which acts as a sequel to 2023's Insidious: The Red Door.

      The film follows a young mother who learns she can travel into the supernatural realm known as The Further and unfortunately has the ability to bring demons into the real world, making her a target for the malevolent entities that inhabit it, eager to turn our world into their playground.

      Written and directed by Jacob Chase (Come Play), the cast includes Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, and franchise veteran Lin Shaye. You can watch the trailer below...

      In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve plays Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in her childhood home who finds she can enter The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls central to the Insidious universe. When an evil force pursues her, Gemma discovers a power that alters everything: instead of merely entering The Further, she can also bring its inhabitants back to the real world. Once the demons recognize her ability, they see our world as their playground.

      Insidious: Out of the Further will be released in theaters on August 21st.
