Yeon Sang-ho, the creator of Train to Busan, reveals more zombie mayhem in the teaser trailer for Colony.
Renowned Korean genre director Yeon Sang-ho, known for works such as Train to Busan, Peninsula, and Hellbound, makes his return to the realm of zombie horror with Colony, a tale of survival centered on a group of individuals confined in a high-rise during a zombie apocalypse.
Co-written by Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, and produced by Yoomin Hailey Yang, Colony, also referred to as 군체, features a cast including Gianna Jun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rock, and Go Soo. Check out the Korean poster and teaser trailer below.
The story follows biotechnology professor Se-jeong (Jun Ji-hyun) as she attends a biotech conference that descends into chaos due to the outbreak of a rapidly evolving virus. This outbreak leads to the transformation of those infected, forcing authorities to lock down the facility, trapping survivors inside as the danger escalates.
Colony is set to make its debut in the Midnight Section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in May, before being released to audiences worldwide in 2026, including in the US and Canada on August 28th.
