First Trailer for Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars Features Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, and Margaret Qualley in a Post-Apocalyptic Setting

      Despite celebrating his 90th birthday next year, Ridley Scott shows no signs of retiring. The director is finalizing his upcoming film The Dogs Stars, which will be his first release since the 2024 Gladiator sequel. Featuring a cast that includes Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney, 20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for the film, now set to hit theaters on August 28, having been postponed from its original spring date.

      Adapted from Peter Heller’s novel and penned by Mark L. Smith (The Revenant), the story unfolds in a world where survival is instinctual, but maintaining humanity is a choice. Scott narrates the journey of Hig, a young pilot who, alongside a military survivalist named Bangley, has established a self-sufficient yet solitary homestead in a harsh post-apocalyptic landscape. However, a mysterious radio message compels Hig to embark on a quest into the unknown in search of hope and the humanity he believes is still out there.
