Red Sonja Noir is back for another thrilling pulp adventure in The Plunder & The Princess.
Following the one-shot special from last year, Dynamite Entertainment has revealed that writer David Avallone will collaborate with artist Edson Novaes for another pulp adventure, titled Red Sonja Noir: The Plunder & The Princess, set to be released this summer.
“Last year’s Red Sonja Noir: The Crimson Calypso was an enjoyable experiment in blending genres, placing the She-Devil with a Sword into a classic detective narrative... which some observant fans quickly noticed,” stated writer David Avallone. “I had a great time working on it, and Dynamite must have been pleased with the outcome since they requested a second issue. This new story is another fun twist (on a less-known tale this time), and Edson has done a fantastic job in bringing the intricate plot to life!”
In Red Sonja Noir: The Plunder & The Princess, “Red Sonja arrives at an exclusive wedding on the island of Zaralina, a haven for the affluent merchant class. She’s not just an attendee, but has been hired for her protective skills. Things take a dark and trouble-filled turn when an army of masked bandits, a powerful sorcerer, and a gigantic, fearsome dragon interrupt the celebration!”
