A limited series featuring Punisher and Spider-Man is set to debut in July from Marvel.

      In addition to sharing the big screen in the forthcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter Parker and Frank Castle are set to take a stroll down memory lane this summer with the five-issue limited series Punisher vs. Spider-Man, penned by writer Dan Abnett and illustrated by artist Matteo Della Fonte.

      The series is set shortly after The Punisher’s debut in Amazing Spider-Man #129 and explores some of their initial encounters as they momentarily put aside their conflicts for a common cause, only to ultimately clash again.

      “I’m thrilled to be scripting these two characters in a direct confrontation, and to revisit The Punisher, a character I haven't written about since the '90s in Year One,” Abnett expresses. “This series is a great deal of fun, packed with significant action and some genuine surprises as they discover new things about each other for the first time. That’s the true excitement of returning to this crucial early point in continuity: there's a newness in their encounters and exchanges that I believe readers will thoroughly enjoy.”

      THE PUNISHER AND SPIDER-MAN, two of New York City’s most infamous figures, have vastly different methods for attempting to make the Big Apple safer (or not, depending on who you ask!). Brought together by chance and compelled to remain allies due to a need from Frank Castle’s past, will the web-slinger and the gunslinger manage to reluctantly set aside their differences before they end up fighting each other?!
