The trailer for As Deep As the Grave features an AI-generated recreation of Val Kilmer.
As we exclusively reported on Flickering Myth in February, the late Val Kilmer has been digitally recreated using AI for a "role" in As Deep as the Grave (previously known as Canyon of the Dead), an action-adventure film directed by Coerte Voorhees (The First Line).
Kilmer had been involved with the film, which tells the true story of archaeologists Ann and Earl Morris, for several years before his death, and his participation is reportedly supported by his family.
Joining the AI-generated Kilmer in the film's cast are Abigail Lawrie, Tom Felton, Abigail Breslin, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Ewen Bremner, Wes Studi, Finn Jones, and Bronson Webb. You can watch the trailer below...
The film portrays the real-life experiences of Southwestern archaeologists Ann and Earl Morris as they conduct excavations in Canyon de Chelly, Arizona, attempting to uncover the history of the Navajo people. Two archaeologists venture into the Canyon of the Dead, where the dead inevitably seek them out.
As Deep As the Grave is set to be released soon.
