      West End Films has released a trailer for Tina Gharavi’s forthcoming unromantic comedy, Virginia Woolf’s Night & Day. This film, based on the 1919 novel, centers on Katherine (Haley Bennett) as she resists the societal expectations of marriage and romance to focus on her love for astronomy, until her father compels her to accept an engagement.

      The cast features Elyas M’Barek, Jennifer Saunders, Lily Allen, Jack Whitehall, and Timothy Spall. You can view the trailer below.

      Set in London in 1910, the ambitious and tenacious Katharine Hilbery (Haley Bennett) defies her parents' marriage plans and decides to chase her passion for astronomy. However, her domineering father, Mr. Hilbery (Timothy Spall), forces her into an engagement with family friend William (Jack Whitehall), jeopardizing Katharine’s hard-won independence.

      Her perspective begins to broaden when she meets the spirited suffragette Mary Datchet (Lily Allen) and interacts with working-class editor Ralph Denham (Elyas M’Barek), who is helping her mother, Mrs. Hilbery (Jennifer Saunders), with a family biography. As romantic feelings evolve, Katharine is led to reevaluate everything she has learned about love, ambition, and how to carve out her own place in the world.

      Virginia Woolf’s Night & Day is scheduled to hit UK and Irish cinemas on June 19th, 2026.
