Carolina Caroline Trailer: A Crime Romance by Adam Carter Rehmeier, the Director of Dinner in America and Snack Shack.

      Following the lively and captivating Dinner in America and Snack Shack, director Adam Carter Rehmeier returns with his fifth feature, Carolina Caroline. He collaborates once again with Kyle Gallner and brings along Samara Weaving for this project, which premiered at TIFF and is set to debut on June 5 through Magnolia Pictures. In anticipation of the release, the first trailer has been unveiled.

      Here’s the synopsis: “Renowned director Adam Carter Rehmeier’s romantic crime thriller features Samara Weaving (READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME) as Caroline Daniels, whose longing to escape her small Texas town leads her to a charming con artist (Kyle Gallner). Together, they embark on a journey filled with crime and passion across the Southeastern United States. The film also stars Kyra Sedgwick and boasts a diverse country music soundtrack, including songs from artists like Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Loretta Lynn, and many more.”

      In his review, Jared Mobarak noted, “Written by Tom Dean and directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier, Carolina Caroline primarily presents itself as a love story. This aspect attracted Rehmeier to the project, as he and Dean worked to transform a more refined Oliver into the country western drifter we now see. This is indeed a love-at-first-sight romance—Caroline observes him as he deceives her boss while Oliver glances at her to ensure she’s watching. He admires her boldness when she boldly demands he return the money he swindled, and she is intrigued by how he willingly complies with a smile before mysteriously using her name to pique her interest even more.”
