DC Comics revisits 1989 this week as the long-awaited Swamp Thing #88, written by Rick Veitch and illustrated by Michael Zulli, finally debuts in the form of Swamp Thing 1989 #1. This marks the beginning of a four-issue DC Black Label series, with Swamp Thing 1989 #2-4 featuring Veitch’s previously unpublished conclusion to his Swamp Thing storyline, which would have corresponded to issues #89-91 of the original series.
