My Adventures with Superman season 3 will introduce Cyborg Superman and Jessica Cruz.

      It has been a few years since My Adventures with Superman returned with new episodes, but we now have confirmation of the premiere date for season three on June 13th, along with details about what to expect for the young Man of Steel as numerous copycats seek to adopt the ‘Superman’ title.

      Showrunner Jake Wyatt shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he and his team are adapting the Reign of the Supermen storyline for the upcoming season. This storyline serves as the concluding chapter in the Death and Return of Superman trilogy, where, following Superman's death at the hands of Doomsday, several impostors emerge claiming to be Superman and attempt to fill the void left by his absence. As this typically occurs after Superman’s death—which has yet to happen in the series—it will offer a new interpretation of the classic tale.

      The synopsis for season three states: “Clark is prepared to settle down and build a future with Lois, who is concerned about losing her star reporter position at The Daily Planet if they do so. At the same time, Kara, inspired by her Kryptonian cousin, is on the lookout for a partner on Earth and has set her sights on Jimmy, who has become a celebrity journalist after validating the existence of aliens.”

      The promotional image highlights Cyborg Superman, one of Superman’s fiercest foes. Previously Hank Henshaw, a tragedy altered his human form and claimed his wife's life, with Henshaw holding Superman responsible for their destinies. He was transformed into Cyborg Superman in a bid to gain the trust of Earth while preparing for an alien invasion. Henshaw was briefly featured in the season two finale of My Adventures with Superman, seemingly meeting his end when his fighter jet was shot down by Brainiac.

      Superboy will also be introduced in a fresh take on his character, maintaining his arrogant demeanor and penchant for provoking Superman. John Henry Irons, aka Steel, has been a recurring character since the first season but will have a lighter role than in the original storyline; however, Wyatt hinted that if the series receives a fourth season renewal, Steel will have a significantly larger role.

      This season will also feature Green Lantern Jessica Cruz to lay the groundwork for the spin-off My Adventures with Green Lantern, which is in active development but has yet to be officially picked up by Adult Swim.

      My Adventures with Superman boasts a voice cast including Jack Quaid (The Boys) as Superman/Clark Kent, Alice Lee (People We Meet on Vacation) as Lois Lane, Ishmel Sahid (Jury Duty) as Jimmy Olsen, and Kiana Madeira (Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair) as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl.

      The third season of My Adventures with Superman is set to premiere on June 13th.
