The initial trailer for The Rivals of Amziah King featuring Matthew McConaughey has been released.

      Black Bear has released the first trailer for The Rivals of Amziah King, an upcoming crime thriller directed and written by Andrew Patterson (The Vast of Night).

      Matthew McConaughey stars as Amziah, a man with musical talent who runs a honey-making business in rural Oklahoma. When his estranged foster daughter comes back after a tragedy, they team up to manage the family business and confront the rivals who threaten to ruin everything he has created.

      Alongside McConaughey, the cast includes Angelina LookingGlass, Cole Sprouse, Jake Horowitz, Tony Revolori, and Kurt Russell.

      Set deep in the rural Oklahoma backwoods, the charming and musically talented Amziah King leads a bluegrass band of misfits while managing the top honey-making operation in the area. When Amziah’s estranged foster daughter returns unexpectedly, he eagerly embraces the chance to rekindle their bond and establish a family business. However, the honey industry is unforgiving, and Amziah’s competitors pose a danger to everything he has worked for.

      The Rivals of Amziah King will be released in theaters on August 14th.
