David Fincher's The Adventures of Cliff Booth is set for a worldwide IMAX release this November.
Following a surprise teaser during the Super Bowl, we've been eagerly anticipating more details from Netflix regarding David Fincher’s The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the Quentin Tarantino-scripted sequel to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, which focuses on Brad Pitt’s character.
Netflix has now announced that Fincher’s upcoming film will screen in IMAX theaters worldwide for a limited two-week engagement starting November 25, before it premieres on Netflix on December 23. Originally, this release window was reserved for Greta Gerwig’s Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, which has since been rescheduled for a wide theatrical release on February 12, 2027, prior to its streaming on Netflix on April 2.
The brief synopsis provided by Netflix (omitting the film's reported title) states: “Brad Pitt reprises his Academy Award-winning role as Cliff Booth, but this time it’s 1977 and Hollywood has changed significantly. Directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, the film also features Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian, with production credits going to Pitt and Ceán Chaffin.”
Alongside Pitt and Chaffin, the film's creative team includes Erik Messerschmidt, ASC, as the director of photography, and Donald Graham Burt as the production designer. The editing is handled by Kirk Baxter, ACE, with casting directed by Laray Mayfield. Trish Summerville serves as the costume designer, Ren Klyce is the sound designer, and Dave Macomber is the stunt coordinator.
