Dead by Daylight introduces Jason Voorhees in celebration of its 10th anniversary chapter.
Behaviour Interactive is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight with the introduction of one of slasher cinema’s most prominent figures, Jason Voorhees, who makes his debut in The Fog in the new chapter, Dead by Daylight: Jason.
“There was no doubt that our 10th Anniversary Chapter needed to be remarkable – it had to be something truly unique,” says Sr. Creative Director Dave Richard. “When we began to see a chance to finally make this partnership happen for our anniversary, we realized the perfect opportunity to introduce Jason had arrived. We are excited that everything came together, allowing us to collaborate with the amazing team at Jason Universe to create this special moment for our players during such a significant anniversary for Dead by Daylight.”

Dead by Daylight has always revolved around terrifying horror tales, and we believe Jason contributes an exciting new chapter our players will appreciate.”
In addition to the Jason Chapter, the event features the Jason Collection, offering various outfits: the default Outfit, inspired by Greg Nicotero’s recent Jason Universe update on the classic hockey mask look; Backwoods Terror, which swaps Jason’s jacket for flannel and suspenders, as well as his machete for a heavy axe; Death Forsaken, presenting a grotesque version with decayed features, exposed bones, and a shovel; and Jason’s Depths of Despair Outfit, showcasing him emerging from the depths as a vision of terror covered entirely in barnacles, coral, and seaweed.
Since its launch in 2016, Dead by Daylight has been an online asymmetrical survival horror game where four Survivors face off against a Killer. It has previously featured collaborations with numerous iconic horror franchises, including Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Scream, Hellraiser, Alien, Chucky, Ash vs Evil Dead, Resident Evil, The Walking Dead, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Stranger Things.
Dead by Daylight: Jason is launching today (May 26th) as part of the Steam public test build, with a complete official release scheduled for June 16th.
