A new trailer has been released for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma.

      Following its premiere at Cannes earlier this month, MUBI has released a new trailer for writer-director Jane Schoenbrun’s upcoming slasher film, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma.

      Hannah Einbinder plays Kris, a young director who gets pulled into a chaotic realm of delirium and sexuality while trying to relaunch a slasher franchise after meeting its original star, the now-recluse actress Billy, portrayed by Gillian Anderson.

      The cast also includes Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Kevin McDonald, Quintessa Swindell, and Jack Haven.

      After years of poor sequels and a dwindling fan base, the Camp Miasma slasher franchise is entrusted to an eager young director for revival. However, when she encounters the original film's star, a mysterious and reclusive actress, the two women are drawn into a bloody landscape of cravings, fear, and madness.

      Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is set to hit theaters on August 21st.
