In anticipation of its release this Friday, Vertical has unveiled a poster and trailer for The Passenger, an upcoming thriller directed by Vadim Perelman.
Djimon Hounsou stars as Hassan, a struggling airport shuttle driver who unlawfully takes on a passenger (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who persuades him to drive to Chicago to see his dying mother. However, Hassan quickly realizes that the young man has malicious plans, ensnaring him in a frightening situation. Watch the trailer below…
Hassan, a Somali-American airport shuttle driver in Minneapolis, illegally transports a passenger named Lloyd to Chicago so he can visit his dying mother. Along the way, Hassan discovers that Lloyd is wearing a bomb vest and admits to having detonated a bomb at the Minneapolis airport that resulted in five fatalities. Under threat of a gun, Hassan is compelled to continue driving him to Chicago, caught in a harrowing ride from which he cannot escape.
The Passenger is scheduled to be released on June 5th.
