Jennifer Lawrence will both produce and star in the Apple romantic comedy One Month Mark.

After her comprehensive portrayal of a woman in a turbulent relationship in Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love, Jennifer Lawrence is set to transition back to the lighter realm of romantic comedies with her role as producer and star in Apple’s One Month Mark.

According to a report from Deadline, the Academy Award-winning actress has officially joined the cast of this highly sought-after project, which has come to Apple Original Films following an intense bidding competition that drew interest from top-tier stars and directors.

Written by Sophie Fleur de Bruijn (Polycule), One Month Mark tells the story of two people: a woman who has never been in a relationship lasting more than a month, and a man who has never gone without one for more than a month.

Lawrence's previous venture into romantic comedy was the 2023 R-rated film No Hard Feelings, which received positive reviews and demonstrated impressive longevity at the global box office, grossing nearly $90 million.

Following this, Lawrence will appear in Martin Scorsese’s unsettling mystery What Happens at Night, where she stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in a narrative about a married couple who travel to a snowy European town to adopt a baby.
