Astronaut Hank Henshaw was aboard the LexCorp space shuttle Excalibur with his wife, Terri, and two other crew members when the shuttle crashed. Initially, it was believed that Superman caused the accident through a solar flare, exposing the crew to lethal radiation. As his body deteriorated, Hank uploaded his consciousness into LexCorp’s mainframe, transforming himself into a cyborg resembling Superman. After Terri's death, an unbalanced Hank held Superman responsible and became one of his most formidable enemies. Alongside Mongul, he orchestrated the destruction of Coast City and emerged as an intergalactic menace, battling the Green Lantern Corps.

Rodney, a rabbit from an alternate reality of cartoon animals, was a mild-mannered cartoonist until he consumed a cosmic carrot. Transforming into the super-powered Captain Carrot, he became a member of the Zoo Crew. Throughout their zany adventures, they encountered Superman and Starro the Conqueror. When their universe was endangered, the Zoo Crew transported its inhabitants to New Earth, where they became ordinary animals. Carrot later transitioned to a stage rabbit before reclaiming his powers to aid in the battle against Darkseid during the Final Crisis. He is the representative from Earth-26 in the pan-Multiversal super-team Justice Incarnate. They fought the Gentry and their Oblivion Machine and confronted the Legion of Doom when Earth’s heroes attempted to mend the fractured Source Wall.
