Blue Finch Films has unveiled a trailer, poster, and images for the UK release of the J-horror film The Curse. Crafted by writer and director Kenichi Ugana, the story centers around beauty salon receptionist Riko (played by Yukino Kaizu), who embarks on her own investigation into her friend's suicide. This pursuit leads her to uncover that a supernatural curse, propagated through social media, is behind a series of violent fatalities. You can watch the trailer below...
Riko seeks to uncover the truth behind her friend's violent death, convinced that it involves more than just suicide. She immerses herself in social media, exploring a realm filled with memes and influencers in search of answers. As the number of victims increases, Riko and her friends travel to Taiwan to reveal the origin of this supernatural curse before it consumes her.
The Curse will be available digitally on July 13th.
