Marvel reveals a limited series featuring Alien vs. X-Men.

Marvel Comics has revealed its upcoming crossover with 20th Century Studios, featuring the Children of the Atom as they strive to defend Earth from the most dangerous species in the galaxy in "Alien vs. X-Men," a four-issue limited series authored by Kieron Gillen and illustrated by Geraldo Borges. Additionally, there will be a back-up story by the iconic X-Men creator Chris Claremont, showcasing Kitty Pryde battling against the Xenomorphs and the Brood.

“Alien was the first R-rated movie I ever watched,” Gillen shared. “Aliens is one of the four pivotal teenage films that shaped my understanding of storytelling. As a teenager, I had an Alien poster looming over my bed. I adore Aliens to the extent that I find myself explaining details to Geraldo by referencing brief scenes with minor characters, as if he has the same passion for Ferro and Dietrich that I do. So, indeed, this is a significant bucket list moment for me, and I'm thoroughly enjoying taking the X-Men on a terrifying ride to hell.”

Chris Claremont added, “For me, the most exciting part is revisiting a universe where I can set my most lethal alien creatures against their cinematic counterparts, with Kitty caught in the crossfire. Kitty offers a hero’s viewpoint that captures the essence of the X-Men. This story is filled with adventure – along with some wild surprises throughout.”

"Alien vs. X-Men #1" is set to be released on September 16, 2026.
