First Trailer for Robert Eggers’ Werwulf Reveals the Inner Demon
Their record-setting film Obsession is not the only horror project on Focus Features’ schedule this year. Robert Eggers’ Werwulf is set to debut around Christmas, the same time that Nosferatu made over $180 million for the distributor two years ago. Reuniting with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and Ralph Ineson, the first trailer has just been released.
Co-written by Eggers and Sjón (The Northman), cinematographer Jarin Blaschke returns to shoot on 35mm in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio. “Experience Robert Eggers’ most visceral and haunting film yet,” the brief synopsis states. “Focus Features presents WERWULF, a gripping story of loyalty, damnation, and the inner devil.”
