      Shudder has unveiled a trailer, poster, and stills for Nightborn, the forthcoming horror film from writer-director Hanna Bergholm (Hatching). Set to premiere on the streaming platform later this month, alongside our very own The Baby in the Basket!, the story revolves around Saga (Seidi Haarla), who relocates with her husband Jon (Rupert Grint) to her secluded childhood home nestled in a Finnish forest, hoping to create the ideal family. However, after the birth of their baby, issues begin to emerge in their marriage, and Jon finds it difficult to assist his wife as she becomes convinced that something is dreadfully wrong with their newborn son.

      The cast includes Pamela Tola, Pirkko Saisio, Rebecca Lacey, John Thomson, and Silvia Saloranta, alongside Haarla and Grint. Watch the trailer below…

      Aiming to build the perfect family, Saga (Seidi Haarla, Compartment No. 6) and her British spouse Jon (Rupert Grint, Knock at the Cabin) move to the remote home where she spent much of her youth, deep within the Finnish woods. However, soon after their baby arrives, Saga senses that something is gravely amiss with her son, despite the reassurances from those around her. As their marriage begins to fray, Jon struggles to support his wife, while only Saga seems to perceive the terrifying truth about their newborn.

      Nightborn is set to premiere on Shudder on July 31st.
