On a sunny day, Sonic, Tails, and Amy visit Angel Island to see Knuckles when a meteor streaks across the sky and crashes nearby. Upon examining the crash site, they discover that an unusual, dense vegetation has rapidly emerged around the crater, at the expense of the surrounding flora. However, they are not the only ones who witnessed the meteor's fiery fall; Dr. Eggman has nefarious plans for the meteor's mysterious powers. It's a race against time (and a villainous doctor) in this eagerly awaited return to the Classic Sonic universe, just in time for the 35th anniversary!
Sonic the Hedgehog: 35th Anniversary Special #1 is set to be released on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026.
