Sacha Baron Cohen has created a hidden Ali G film.

      Sacha Baron Cohen is bringing back one of his most famous characters for a new movie. Cohen will reprise his role as British hip-hop talk show host Ali G in a film he has already secretly completed.

      Cohen first unveiled his Ali G character on The 11 O’Clock Show before landing his own HBO series, Da Ali G Show, where he interviewed various celebrities, political figures, and everyday people while embodying the persona of Ali G. It was during this series that Cohen also created Borat and Brüno Gehard as part of his satirical interviews with unsuspecting participants.

      Cohen previously starred in a movie as this character in 2002’s Ali G Indahouse. This marked the first feature film with his characters, followed by 2006’s Borat and 2009’s Brüno. A sequel to Borat, titled Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, was released in 2020.

      No additional information has been revealed about the new Ali G movie, which was initially rumored in 2023. The secrecy surrounding its production was likely intended to maintain Cohen’s shock-and-awe interview style, aiming to provoke ridiculous reactions or agreement to his over-the-top statements.
