A reinterpretation of Peter Pan features in the trailer for the indie thriller Before Never.

      In advance of its digital release this August, a trailer has been shared online for Before Never, an independent thriller that reinterprets J.M. Barrie’s classic story, Peter Pan.

      The film features private investigators Smee and hypnotherapist James “Hook” Pierrepoint, who are tasked with extracting information from the amnesiac Peter Pan, the sole witness to Wendy Darling’s attempted kidnapping. However, as they delve deeper, they discover troubling links to a group called “The Lost Boys” and a concealed area known as “The Neverlands.”

      Directed by Kipp Tribble and Derik Wingo, Before Never also stars Kenny Yates, Joanne Wilson, and Elisa Nixon. You can watch the trailer below.

      Following Wendy Darling’s escape from an attempted kidnapping, her family hires investigator Smee and James “Hook” Pierrepoint to uncover the assailant with the assistance of the only eyewitness: Peter Pan. As they investigate further into the case, they begin to believe that Pan may also be tied to a horrific incident in James’ past, leading them towards the dark area on the outskirts of town referred to as ‘The Neverlands.’

      Before Never is scheduled for release on August 4th.
