Return to the Hellboy Universe with an exclusive first-look preview of The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas #1.

      Next month will see the debut of The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas, a new four-issue limited series set in the universe of Mike Mignola’s Hellboy. This series showcases Queen Victoria’s secret agency dedicated to safeguarding the British Empire against supernatural dangers.

      Penned by Mignola and iZombie creator Chris Roberson, with illustrations by Christopher Mitten, The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas marks the return of The Foundry, which was first introduced in Witchfinder: The Gates of Heaven. It follows the team as they journey around the globe searching for supernatural technologies and uncovering the narratives of civilizations that wielded them—whether for benevolent or malevolent purposes.

      “Long before Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. defended the world from various supernatural threats, the members of the Foundry were protecting Queen Victoria’s Empire,” states writer Chris Roberson. “However, the operatives of the Foundry were adventurers and explorers more focused on scientific applications than on the paranormal or occult, eagerly interested in the artifacts uncovered by their expeditions and the engineering innovations that could stem from ancient discoveries. In The Foundry: In Peril on the Seas, Major Karam Singh and his fellow Foundry members embark on a quest to confront an unidentified threat, uncertain if they are pursuing a creature or something far more sinister.”
